Horsewright Charmitas - a New Idea
Combining the traditional looks, flexibility and comfort of armitas with the safety, ease and durability of chinks we've come up with charmitas. Made of a lighter and more flexible leather than chinks or chaps, charmitas are rapidly becoming the favorite of many riders. Our charmitas fasten at the waist with a belt and buckle or we can make your pair with the traditional wrap and tie belt. The legs fasten with straps and buckles just like a pair of chinks. This type of leggings have proven to be very functional, popular and incredibly comfortable. Everyone that tries on a pair, comments on how comfortable they are. You forget that you have them on.
Charmitas are comfortable for all day wear, year round. Whether you are riding, castrating a calf or doing groundwork with a colt, you will appreciate your charmitas and the protection and comfort that they provide.
Options: Part of the allure of the charmitas is their simplicity. Consequently, there are few options available. We can do a contrasting color for the apron, the apron's fringe, the leg plates, or a sewn on leg fringe. These options are $20.00 - $40.00.

Measurements Needed:
Waist - Diameter of the waist where you normally wear your chaps/chinks. For most just below the belt.
Rise - From the bottom of the crotch to the waist measurement.
Upper Thigh - Diameter around the thigh just below the crotch.
Length - The distance from the waist where you will wear your charmitas down to where you would like the fringe to end. We recommend mid shin to ankle as being about the right place for the fringe to end.

Our Charmitas are available in a choice of leather colors. Standard colors come in 4-5 oz weights.
