Horsewright Shotgun Chaps
We make shotgun chaps. If you live in a colder climate, ride in the winter or just prefer the added protection of full-length leggings we can help you out. These chaps, like our chinks, are built for the real world, for using hard. We use several different types of leather, depending on the type of chap desired. From heavy oil tan leather for a working pair of leggings, to lighter garment leathers for arena use, our shotguns are built to your measurements and are by custom order only.

Yoke Leather Color & Tooling Samples
Measurements Needed:
Waist - Circumference of the waist where you normally wear your chinks/chaps.
Rise - From the bottom of the crotch to the waist measurement.
Upper Thigh - Circumference around the thigh just below the crotch.
Out Seam - This measurement is used to determine the length of your chinks/chaps.
Inseam - From the bottom of the crotch to just above the top of the foot.
Calf - Circumference around the thickest part of the calf
Knee - Circumference around the knee
Color Options:
Our Chaps are available in a choice of leather colors. Standard colors come in 4-5 oz weights.

Rust ♦ Buck Tan ♦ Chestnut
Chaps are also available in Mahogany Oil Tan. This is a tough, yet supple leather ideally suited for daily working conditions, especially in wet weather. It comes in 5-6 oz weight.
